Loyola Marymount University has set Nov. 1, 2026, as the Early Decision I deadline and Jan. 8, 2027, for Early Decision II applicants seeking fall 2027 admission. Both plans are binding, meaning admitted students commit to enroll at LMU and withdraw applications to other schools. Early Decision I students can receive an additional $20,000 LMU scholarship over four years. The university also offers nonbinding Early Action applications due Nov. 1 and regular decision applications due Jan. 15, 2027.

Two Binding Application Plans

Early Decision I and Early Decision II plans give applicants preferential consideration and an admission decision before regular decision applicants. Early Decision I is for students who identify LMU as their first-choice university early in their senior year, while Early Decision II provides a later deadline.

Thomas Gutto, associate vice provost for undergraduate enrollment at Loyola Marymount University, said:

“Students choose LMU because they are drawn to our vibrant Los Angeles setting, our academic excellence, and the sense of belonging they feel here,”

Thomas Gutto, associate vice provost for undergraduate enrollment at Loyola Marymount University, said:
