Lennox has opened a National Account Services headquarters and training center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with a 6,000-square-foot hands-on training space for commercial HVAC technicians. The facility supports technician, manager and field leader development for the company’s national service organization. Lennox NAS has trained nearly 1,600 technicians since 2016 through its workforce programs. The company is also building an 18,000-square-foot Commercial HVAC Experience and Training Center near its Richardson, Texas, headquarters.

Hands On Technician Instruction

The Fort Lauderdale center combines classroom instruction with hands-on work using commercial HVAC equipment and systems. Its training programs include Skilled Technician, Advanced Technician, Lead Master and Manager-in-Training career pathways.

Lennox NAS also runs the paid Build-A-Tech apprenticeship program, which combines six to eight months of classroom instruction, field experience and mentorship for people preparing for commercial HVAC careers.

Support For National Service Teams

The facility is intended to support service teams working for national account customers across the United States, including large retail businesses. Lennox said its standardized service programs cover commercial HVAC maintenance, repair and replacement.

Joe Nassab, Executive Vice President and President at Lennox Building Climate Solutions, said:

“National account customers rely on Lennox to support critical operations across hundreds or even thousands of locations. This investment strengthens the capabilities of our service organization and creates a dedicated environment where technicians and field leaders can sharpen their expertise and share best practices from across the network. As NAS continues to grow, facilities like this help ensure we're scaling expertise alongside our business.”

Expanded Customer Training Network

The planned Richardson facility will give commercial HVAC customers hands-on access to commercial HVAC technologies and controls demonstrations. It will join nine Lennox LIVE residential training labs across North America and a commercial refrigeration training center in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
