CamScanner is positioning its AI tools for students managing class materials, campus events, and career applications. Its app can scan paper documents and use optical character recognition, or OCR, to make content searchable in 41 languages. CS AI on PC adds tools to summarize documents, extract key details, compare files, and refine written content. The company says the tools can help students turn documents into usable information throughout the semester.
Study Materials Become Searchable
Students can scan textbooks, handouts, and handwritten notes with CamScanner, then search the resulting text using OCR. CS AI’s Summarize a document tool can condense longer materials, while Extract key details can identify information for review.
Campus Information in One Place
Club fairs and student organizations produce flyers, schedules, sign-up sheets, and event materials. CamScanner can digitize those documents, while Extract key details can identify event times, locations, and deadlines.
Support for Career Applications
With CS AI on PC, students can use Compare documents in detail to review application requirements side by side and identify key differences. Rewrite and polish a document can help students revise resumes and cover letters for individual applications.
Students in design, architecture, and other portfolio-based fields can also digitize hand-drawn work for editing and layout. The Draft domain-specific documents feature can help create a portfolio outline tailored to a student’s field.
Document Tasks Across Campus Life
The tools cover document work from reviewing course materials to organizing campus activities and preparing applications. For students, the practical use is a searchable record of paper materials and AI features for working with the information they contain.
